Make a poster and print it large at home

Upload any image, set the exact poster size, and split it across A4 or Letter pages so you can print it on a regular home printer.

GridPrint tiles your image across as many pages as the size needs, with crop marks and overlap guides on every sheet. Print at 100% scale, cut along the marks, and tape the pages into one large poster. Works with A4, Letter, and A3 paper.

Everything you need to print posters at home

Any size, any paper

A 1-meter poster on A4? About 12 pages. A 2-meter poster? About 48. Set the size and GridPrint does the math. Configurable margins and overlap so pages align when you tape.

Built-in image effects

Halftone for a retro look, color tinting, brightness and contrast. Adjust your image right in the app — no Photoshop needed.

Assembly guide in every PDF

Crop marks, a scale ruler, and a numbered assembly map showing where each page goes. No guessing which page is which.

Private and offline

Your images never leave your browser. No uploads, no account, no watermark. Install as a PWA and use it without internet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a poster at home?
Upload your image, set the poster size, and download the multi-page PDF. Print every page at 100% scale (turn off "fit to page"), cut along the crop marks, and tape the pages together. Any home printer that takes A4 or Letter paper works.
Can I print a poster bigger than A4 or Letter?
Yes. That is the whole point. GridPrint splits your image across as many sheets as the size needs. A 1-meter poster on A4 uses about 12 pages; a 2-meter poster uses about 48. You assemble the sheets into one large poster.
Can I print a PDF as a poster?
GridPrint takes an image as input, so export or screenshot the PDF page as a PNG or JPG first, then upload it here. The poster you download is itself a multi-page PDF you print at 100% and tape together.
What paper should I use?
Plain A4 or Letter paper is fine for most posters. For something more durable or vivid, use heavier paper, matte photo paper, or card stock — GridPrint outputs a standard PDF that prints on any media your printer supports.
Will it look good up close?
That depends on your source image. GridPrint shows a DPI warning if your image is too low-res for the size you picked. For a 1-meter poster, a 3000px-wide image gives about 75 DPI, which looks great from normal viewing distance.
How do I tape the pages together?
Every page has overlap margins. Print at 100% scale, cut along the crop marks, overlap adjacent pages, and tape them from behind. The numbered assembly guide shows the exact order.
Is it actually free? No watermark?
Yes. Free, no watermark, no account. GridPrint runs entirely in your browser, so your images never touch a server.
Is this a Rasterbator alternative?
GridPrint is a modern alternative to The Rasterbator. It runs in your browser (no Flash), supports more formats, includes assembly guides, and works offline.
