Print a large wall mural stencil across pages

Upload your design, set the exact wall size, and split it across A4 or Letter pages so you can print the whole stencil on a regular home printer.

GridPrint tiles your design across as many pages as the wall size needs, with crop marks and overlap guides on every sheet. Print at 100% scale, line up the sheets, and assemble one large mural stencil. Use it as a tracing guide, a projection reference, or cut it out for spray stencils. Handles 50+ page assemblies.

Built for mural work

Real-world wall scale

Set the output in feet or meters and GridPrint splits it across A4 or Letter pages. A 3m x 2m mural is about 150 pages — it does the math.

Stencil mode

Convert any image to high-contrast B&W. Adjustable threshold — from fine detail to bold shapes for spray work.

Registration marks for large assemblies

Crop marks and overlap guides on every page. Page numbering and assembly map keep 50+ sheet jobs organized.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a wall mural stencil bigger than A4 or Letter?
Upload your design and set the real wall size in feet or meters. GridPrint splits it across as many A4 or Letter sheets as the size needs, with overlap guides on every page. Print at 100% scale (turn off "fit to page"), line up the sheets, and assemble the full-size stencil.
How big can the mural stencil go?
As big as your wall. A 10m wide mural on A4 is about 50 pages across; a 3m x 2m mural is about 150 pages total. The numbered assembly map and page numbering keep large jobs organized.
How do I assemble and transfer the design to the wall?
Print every page at 100%, then lay them out on the floor and tape along the overlap guides into one large sheet. From there: tape it to the wall and trace with carbon paper, use it on the ground as a freehand reference, or cut out the shapes and use them as spray stencils.
What paper should I use?
Plain A4 or Letter paper works for tracing and projection references. For reusable spray stencils, print on heavier paper or card stock — GridPrint outputs a standard PDF that prints on any media your printer supports.
What resolution do I need?
For tracing outlines, modest resolution is fine. A 2000px wide image scaled to 3 meters gives about 17 DPI — enough to see shapes and lines at arm length. GridPrint shows a DPI warning if your image is too low-res for the size you picked.
Can I convert a photo to a stencil?
Yes. Edge detection turns any photo into outlines, and stencil mode gives bold high-contrast B&W shapes for spray work. Adjust the threshold to control how much detail you keep.
