Frequently asked questions

How do I print a party backdrop bigger than A4 or Letter?
Upload your photo and set the backdrop size in feet or cm. GridPrint splits it across as many A4 or Letter sheets as the size needs, with overlap guides on every page. Print at 100% scale (turn off "fit to page"), cut along the marks, and tape the sheets together into one big backdrop.
How big can the backdrop go?
As big as you want. A 6-foot wide backdrop on Letter paper is about 6 pages across; a full wall (10 feet) is about 10 across. GridPrint handles the math and the numbered assembly map shows where each page goes.
How do I assemble the pages?
Every page has overlap margins. Print at 100%, cut along the crop marks, overlap adjacent sheets, and tape them from behind. Hang the finished backdrop with removable tape, clips, or a backdrop stand.
Will a phone photo look good that big?
For backdrops viewed from a few feet away, most phone photos work fine. GridPrint shows a DPI warning if the resolution is too low for the size you picked.
What paper should I use?
Regular A4 or Letter printer paper works for most backdrops. Use photo paper for glossier results, and laminate the pages before assembly for outdoor use. GridPrint outputs a standard PDF that prints on any media your printer supports.
Can I make a banner?
Yes. Set a wide, narrow size (e.g., 6 feet x 1 foot) and GridPrint tiles it across a single row of pages that you tape into one long birthday banner.
