Print a floor plan to scale across pages

Upload any floor plan or technical drawing, set the exact output size, and split it across A4 or Letter pages so you can print it to scale on a regular printer.

GridPrint tiles your plan across as many sheets as the size needs, with alignment marks and overlap guides on every page. Print at 100% scale, tape the pages together using the marks, and you have a full-size, to-scale reference. The printed scale ruler confirms accuracy. No print shop, no plotter, no waiting.

Print your floor plan

Three steps to a full-size plan

01

Upload your plan

Drag & drop your floor plan, elevation, or technical drawing. PNG, JPG, SVG. Export from CAD as an image.

02

Set the output size

Enter the exact real-world dimensions in cm or inches. GridPrint tiles the plan across A4 or Letter pages at true scale, with configurable margins.

03

Print and assemble

Download the multi-page PDF and print at 100% (never "fit to page"). Tape pages together using the alignment marks. The scale ruler confirms accuracy.

For architects, contractors, and students

Scale you can verify

Set the exact output size and GridPrint tiles the plan to scale. Every printout includes a scale ruler — check it with a real ruler before you rely on any measurements.

Portrait or landscape

Print in either orientation. GridPrint can auto-select whichever uses fewer pages.

Fine overlap control

Set overlap from 1mm to 30mm so sheets align cleanly when taped. Tight control over joins is critical for technical drawings.

Free, private, no account

No account, no watermark. Your plans never leave your browser — no uploads, no cloud. Install as a PWA and use it offline. Important for client projects and competitions.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a floor plan to scale?
Upload your plan, set the exact output dimensions, and download the multi-page PDF. Print every page at 100% scale (turn off "fit to page"), then tape the sheets together using the alignment marks. Verify with the printed scale ruler — no plotter needed.
Can I print a floor plan bigger than A4 or Letter?
Yes. GridPrint splits your plan across as many sheets as the size needs and adds alignment marks so you can tape them into one full-size, to-scale plan. A large plan might span 10 or more pages.
Can I print at a specific architectural scale?
Yes. Calculate the output dimensions from your scale (e.g., 1:50 means a 10m wall = 20cm on paper). Enter those dimensions and GridPrint handles the tiling. Confirm with the scale ruler before measuring.
How do I assemble the pages?
Every page has overlap margins and alignment marks. Print at 100%, overlap adjacent sheets by the marked margin, and tape them together. The numbered layout shows the exact order.
How do I get my plan out of CAD?
Export your drawing as a PNG or JPG at the highest resolution available. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and most CAD tools support image export.
What paper can I use?
A4, Letter, A3, Tabloid, and Legal all work. Larger paper means fewer pages and less taping. For reference on site this is accurate when printed at 100%; for permit or legal documents, use a professional plotter.
