True 1:1 scale

Print sewing patterns at actual size, right from your browser

Set exact dimensions or lock 1:1 scale with Set real size, then tile any pattern across A4 or Letter pages with overlap margins and an assembly guide.

Upload your sewing pattern, cosplay template, or quilting design as an image or an exported PDF page. Set the exact size, or use Set real size to mark a known distance and lock true 1:1 scale. GridPrint tiles it across pages at 100%. Print, cut, tape. The printed scale ruler confirms the size with a real ruler before you touch fabric.

Print your pattern

Three steps to a full-scale pattern

01

Upload your pattern

Drop in your sewing pattern — a downloaded design or your own. PNG, JPG, SVG, or a PDF page exported as an image.

02

Set the exact size

Enter the real-world dimensions in cm or inches, or use Set real size: mark a known distance on the pattern and lock true 1:1 scale.

03

Print, cut, assemble

Print the PDF at 100% (never "fit to page"). Cut along the crop marks, overlap pages by the marked margin, and tape together.

Made for pattern printing

Exact 1:1 output

Set the size in cm or inches, or lock it with Set real size. A scale ruler prints on the assembly guide — measure it with a tape measure and your pattern is confirmed.

Set real size for instant 1:1

Not sure of the dimensions? Mark two points across a known measurement, enter the real distance, and GridPrint scales the whole pattern so it prints at true scale.

Overlap margins for taping

Configurable overlap (default 10mm) so pages align when taped. No gaps, no guessing where pages meet.

Numbered pages + assembly map

Every page is labeled and the assembly map shows the grid layout, so even a 30-page pattern stays organized. Free, private, and offline once installed as a PWA.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a sewing pattern at actual size?
Upload the pattern, set the exact dimensions or use Set real size to lock 1:1, then print the PDF at 100% (turn off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit"). At 100% the pattern comes out at true scale on any printer.
How do I verify the scale with a ruler?
GridPrint prints a scale ruler on the assembly guide. After printing at 100%, measure it against a real ruler or tape measure — if it matches, your whole pattern is at true 1:1 scale before you cut fabric.
My pattern is bigger than A4 or Letter — what happens?
GridPrint automatically tiles the pattern across as many A4 or Letter sheets as it needs, with overlap margins and alignment marks. Print at 100%, cut along the crop marks, overlap, and tape into one full-size pattern.
Can I print cosplay armor templates?
Yes. Upload the template, set the size to your body measurements or use Set real size, and print at true scale. Works for EVA foam, fabric, and Worbla patterns.
What paper should I use?
Plain A4 or Letter printer paper works for most patterns. GridPrint outputs a standard PDF, so any media your printer supports is fine — including taping sheets into one large sheet.
My pattern is a PDF — can I print it?
Yes. Export or screenshot the PDF page as an image (PNG or JPG) and upload it. GridPrint then sizes it at true scale and gives you a print-ready PDF to print at 100%.
