True 1-inch grid

Print D&D battle maps to scale, right from your browser

Upload any dungeon or encounter map and print it at a true 1-inch grid on your home printer, so every square matches a 25mm miniature base.

Set your map dimensions so each grid square prints at exactly 1 inch. GridPrint tiles the map across A4 or Letter pages with alignment marks for clean assembly. Print on regular paper or card stock. Minis fit perfectly, no scaling math required.

Built for dungeon masters

Exact 1-inch squares

Set dimensions so each grid square is exactly 1 inch. Miniatures fit without awkward scaling or grid misalignment.

Any map size

Tavern encounters on 4 pages. Sprawling dungeons on 20+. Page numbering and assembly guide keep it organized.

Transparent PNG support

Maps with transparent backgrounds print clean. Useful for dungeon tiles you want to place on a battle mat.

Prints to scale on any printer

Output is a standard PDF you print at 100% (no fit-to-page). A printed scale ruler lets you confirm the 1-inch grid before game night.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a D&D battle map to scale?
Upload your map, set the grid scale, then print the PDF at 100% (turn off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit"). At 100% each square comes out at exactly 1 inch, so your miniatures line up with the printed grid.
How do I get exactly 1 inch per square?
Count the squares on your map (e.g., 30 across). Set the target width to 30 inches (76.2 cm). Each square prints at exactly 1 inch. Verify with the scale ruler.
What paper size should I use?
A4 or Letter both work. GridPrint tiles the map across as many sheets as needed and adds alignment marks so you can trim and tape them into one seamless battle grid.
Why does my battle map print too small?
That is almost always "fit to page" scaling in the print dialog. Set the scale to 100% (Actual size) and disable any auto-fit option. The squares will then match the 1-inch grid.
Can I print on card stock?
Yes. GridPrint outputs a standard PDF — works with any media your printer supports, including card stock and photo paper.
What about maps from Dungeondraft or Inkarnate?
Export your map as PNG or JPG from any map-making tool. Upload to GridPrint, set the grid scale, print.
Can I skip pages I don't need?
Yes. Click any tile in the preview to exclude it. Useful for L-shaped dungeons where corner pages are empty.
